Reduce Debt
What is the biggest hindrance to getting out of debt? Too many tempting things to buy and not enough money to pay for them? Not being aware of the state of your finances?
For most people, the biggest obstacle to real debt reduction is simply this: lack of a debt reduction plan. This is a lot like losing weight - it is just as obvious that you need to consume fewer calories than you burn as it is that you need to earn more money than you spend. That doesn't mean that either task is easy!
Debt reduction plans rarely work well without one vital ingredient: You. If you are not behind meaningful debt reduction then having someone else create a plan that tells you what to do in order to reduce your debt burden will be of no effect. The reason for this is simple: If you are not totally committed to reducing your debt then any "solution" that you find will actually only be a way to incur more debt. As you pay off your existing debts, you will only create new ones – just like you only gain more weight if you're not committed to weight loss even if you have the most effective plan in the world.
If you are serious about reducing your debts with an eye toward eliminating them altogether, then this is the site for you. We're like you. We are in debt, but trying to work our way out of it. We probably got our debts just like you did:
- We were irresponsible debt managers at an earlier point in our lives.
- We own a business and have struggled to make ends meet, thus wracking up more debt.
- Too much credit that was too easy to apply for has only deepened the hole.
If you have looked around at many of the debt reduction sites around the Internet, you have probably noticed what we have noticed: They all seem to want you to spend the money you don't have to learn how to eliminate the debt you do have. So we made our site different. All of the debt reduction resources you see on this site are totally free – if it starts with "www.my-debt-reduction-plan.com" you won't pay for it. Our debt reduction calculator will take the debts you have now and tell you when you can expect to be debt free – if you can honestly say: "I'm committed to getting rid of my debts." You can download a copy of it in the popular Adobe Acrobat .pdf format to keep at your desk. All for free!
If you need some encouragement, we have debt reduction forums where you can ask your questions and answer the questions that other people have. We're all in this journey together and we can help each other eliminate our debts. If you want to document your journey including all of the ups and downs, then you can join our debt reduction diaries and share your thoughts and experiences with everyone.
We want you to succeed in your goal of debt-free living. How can we help?
